Buyers weighing Hallsley against other Chesterfield communities almost always ask the same question: are the amenities worth the dues? Here is the honest breakdown of what is on the grounds.

The everyday ones

These are the amenities residents use without planning around them.

• The resort pool. Zero entry on one end, a waterslide in the middle, and lap lanes on the other. It supports three different kinds of swimmer at once, which is why it stays busy from May through September.
• Six miles of trails and fourteen bridges. The trail network connects most of the neighborhood, so walking to the clubhouse is a real option rather than a marketing line.
• Central Bark dog park. Small, fenced, and the reason a lot of neighbors know each other.

The ones that sell the neighborhood

• Playhouse Village and Storybook Lane. A cluster of child sized cottages and a themed walking path. Nothing else in the Richmond area looks like it.
• The treehouse playground and zipline. Built into the grade rather than dropped on a flat pad.
• Tom Sawyer's stocked fishing pond. Catch and release, and genuinely stocked.
• The Hallsley Hopper. A chauffeured van residents book for nights out in Richmond. It is the amenity people bring up at dinner parties.

The organized ones

Tennis, pickleball, bocce, and volleyball courts sit near the clubhouse, and the Hallsley High Tides swim team runs all summer. The clubhouse itself has a cabana bar and covered porches.
